OTSL Completes 3D Real-time Sensor Simulator Product Lineup Aimed at Realizing Zero-Blind-Spot Autonomous Driving Simulation

2018.10.17

– Worldwide Simultaneous Release of 3 Products, New Infrared Simulator Enabling World’s First Dynamic Real-time Simulation, Camera Simulator, and Ultrasonic Simulator –   OTSL Inc., a short-distance wireless system and embedded system developer and distributor, has enhanced its 3D real-time sensor simulator product lineup for autonomous driving, COSMOsim, and released on October 17th three new types of simulators–worldwide simultaneously–for infrared/uBolometer(*), camera, and ultrasonic sensors to be used for automotive manufacturers, system component suppliers (vehicle sensor manufacturers), and semiconductor manufacturers. (*) u=micro Last year, OTSL released Advanced Millimeter Wave Radar Simulator (AMMWR Simulator) and Advanced Laser Radar/LIDAR Simulator (ALR Simulator), entering the business of real-time simulators for autonomous driving. This time OTSL adds Advanced Infrared/uBolometer Simulator (AIRB Simulator), Advanced Camera Image Sensor Simulator (ACIS Simulator), and Advanced Ultrasonic Simulator (AUS Simulator) to its simulator product lineup, offering a total of five types of simulators that can be used for all sensor systems for autonomous driving. “Expectations towards autonomous driving are growing worldwide, creating higher demand for high-performance simulators that can verify safety and accuracy in environments that closely match real driving conditions,” said Shoji Hatano, CEO, OTSL. “OTSL’s simulator product lineup for autonomous driving provides an integrated platform that allows you

OTSL to Exhibit at AutoSens 2018 in U.S. and Autonomous Vehicle Technology World Expo 2018 in Germany

2018.05.14

– Set to Demonstrate Simulators of Millimeter Wave Radar and LIDAR Specialized for Autonomous Driving; Also to Exhibit for Reference Infrared and Camera-based Simulators under Development –   OTSL Inc., a short-distance wireless system and embedded system developer and distributor, announced on May 14 that it will be participating in two major upcoming exhibitions: AutoSens 2018, an automotive sensor exhibition to be held in the United States (Detroit, Michigan) on May 14-17, 2018; and Autonomous Vehicle Technology World Expo 2018, an autonomous driving technology exhibition to be held in Germany (Stuttgart) on June 5-7, 2018. In September 2017, OTSL released both the Advanced Millimeter Wave Radar Simulator (AMMWR Simulator), the world’s very real-time simulator specialized for millimeter wave radar, and the Advanced Laser Radar Simulator (ALR Simulator), a LIDAR-based simulator. These releases marked the company’s official intent to compete in the autonomous driving simulator industry. The AMMWR Simulator generates a virtual 3D image from millimeter wave radar data by converting calculated values into a visual format, including calculations on the irradiated area, angle, distance, reflected wave intensity, and velocity relative to other target objects. By creating driving scenarios and adopting a game engine for the video animation, OTSL succeeded in
